I have over thirty blogs, that are intended for a General Audience.  On those blogs, I refrain from profanity, and naughty images.
Then, I have one adult blog, where you have to verify that you are over 18 before viewing the material.

Blogger is coming up with a new policy about adult material, where they will remove advertising.

Knowing my luck, because I have one adult blog, which isn't really that bad if you look at it, they will probably strip all the advertising off of every blog I have.  Then, that ensures that they will never have to pay me.

I have never been paid a cent by Blogger yet.

My adsense account has accumulated $83 so far.

Before I ever get paid, I have to file my tax return with adsense.

No matter what happens, I'm sure Blogger and adsense will figure out a way so that they don't have to pay me, which is the real issue.  They don't really care about what people post.  But they don't want to offend the advertisers.

Ironically, my adult blog is my most popular one.

I like my adult blog, because it is the only place I can post a picture of two superheroes engaged in copulation.  I can't do that on the other blogs because the whole world is controlled by people under 18, Mothers, and Advertisers.

I can join the military, and legally kill people in a war, but I can't post a picture of Pac-Man feeling up Ms. Pac-Man on the web.
     It's a messed up world.

Ok, so Blogger sent me this letter.  I have one adult blog out of thirty different blogs.  All the other ones are clean.  I don't have advertising on the adult one.  That has already been taken care of.  My adult blog isn't even all that bad.  I put lots of different things on it.  They don't care about content, not really.  But when it comes to making money with advertisers, then they care.  Okay, no big deal.  The advertisers don't like it, so it is their problem.  I just don't want anything interfering with my Freedom of Speech.  I'm a grown man, and I hate catering to the morals of a twelve year old, like The Walt Disney Company.  I can't do it anyway, it doesn't feel right to me.

Ironically, my adult blog is my most popular one.  That's what people want to see.  They could give a crap about a blog about blogging, haha, for example.

Always review your blog entries when you can.
What made complete sense to you one day, when you look at it a couple of days later, might not be as clear as you thought.

If you have the luxury of having somebody you know and trust who can read and look over your entries, go for it.  A second opinion never hurts, and sometimes another person can catch mistakes that you may have over-looked.

No human being is perfect.  Even professional writers have somebody check their work for syntax, spelling, grammar, and style.

I know it is cool to misspell words, and to write in the hip hop way or whatever, but to some people when you do that, you look like an idiot.

To counter-balance that, if you want those kinds of people reading your...wait, those people don't read, not to my knowledge.

The Way To Get A Lot Of Hits On A Blog

To be honest, write a lot of blog entries.  The more entries you have, the more your blog will get into searches.

However, if you want people to keep coming back to your blogs, you had better have some good content.

Also, vary your content.  Give people a lot to choose from.  They will be delighted.  Or, they won't care as is usual on the web, because nothing is good enough for anybody, as you know.  But if you vary your content, you'll have a better chance of getting through people's thick-headed skulls, so that they think of something besides themselves.

Everyone is so entitled on the web.  They all want the red carpet rolled out for them, yet most people do not give much themselves.  That is just how most humans are.  Deal with it.

Never give up is my final advice.  You'll have plenty of time to do nothing when you are dead.

On Creating Original Material

Well, it is true.  You can copy and paste to your heart's delight, stealing other people's stuff, and organizing it in such a way where it can be your unique way of doing it.
Or, you can create your own content.
Let's face it, there is a lot of stealing on the web, because people want to be liked.  They don't want to post things where people will think they are weird.  They want acceptance by their peers.
But if you want to be able to make money on the web, you have to invent your own identity.
You have to dig deep into yourself and find out what you really want to do.
You also have to not care what other people think.  This can be scary at first.
The road is tough for a long time when you try to do something original.
     However, the rewards are great.
     Trust me on this one.

Or you can keep stealing other people's content, and be well-liked by everybody, but you won't be able to make money, unless of course you find a situation where you can.
The jury is still out on what you can and can not do on the web.

Also, being original takes a lot longer, which is why most people don't do it.

The way I do it is both.  Sometimes I steal photos and things for videos and blogs, and sometimes I come up with content that is 100% my own.  That way, I can have the best of both worlds.

Thanks for reading, and good luck.  It ain't easy no matter what you do.

Using a blog as a teleprompter for a video

I found a new use for blogging.
For a video, I wrote what I wanted to say on a blog.
Then, I turned on my webcam.
Then, I brought up the blog page, and started to read from it, as if it was a teleprompter.
I finished reading, and turned the webcam off.
     It worked really well.
I wore sunglasses during the video so nobody could see that I was reading.

Then I was able to link that video on the blogger page of the exact article, so that people can read along with the video if they want.
